I have no words to describe the way my great God has held me, has encouraged me and has loved me through this adoption process. If you know me very well at all, you would know that I am completely happy with my family. I am content. I am busy enough. I don't feel like our family is missing anything. So why adopt???? Good question. The only answer I have is, God said. This doesn't mean I didn't wrestle with Him, because I did. It doesn't mean I didn't doubt, because I did. But through it all, He was there. His presence during times of wrestling to get to obedience is so incredible. He is so personal and so satisfying. I don't know what tomorrow will bring. I don't know what trials our family will walk through with this adoption. But I do know that He is faithful. I know He is real and powerful. I know that He who is able to move my heart to say "yes", can heal her broken heart. I know that The Lord will bring us peace as we keep our eyes on Him and walk through this journey. Please join us in prayer for our family as we transition to a family of 7.

Travel Schedule
March 5th
7:55-9:30am Flight from Lincoln to Chicago
12:00-3:30pm Flight from Chicago to Beijing (13 1/2 hour flight)
March 6th
Arrive in Beijing at 3:30pm. We will meet our guide at the airport and they will take us to our Hotel.
March 7th
Free day. We are planning to Meet Jenny at 3:00, she is friend of a friend who is willing to help us out while in Beijing. We may also shop for the orphanage on this day.
March 8th
8:00am leave for the orphanage. Gotcha Day!!!!!!!!!! Go back to hotel to bond and take it all in.
March 9th
8:30am go to Civil Affairs for adoption registration.
March 10th
This is a free day, we will do some touring if our family is doing well.
March 11th
8:30am we will leave the hotel and go to Civil Affairs Office for registration to pick up the adoption certificate and then do document notarization at the Public Notary Office. We will also go to the local police station for passport application.
March 12th
Free day!
March 13th
1:30pm flight leaves from Beijing to Guangzhou. We arrive in Guangzhou at 4:50pm
March 14th
Visa paperwork check and Medical check for Jin Yi.
March 15th
Free day. We will be visiting Daniel's foster family. We have contacted our guide from our first adoption and he is setting up our visit. It may be today.
March 16th
Pick up medical results.
March 17th
Free day. Guangzhou has an amazing zoo. Hoping to visit it today.
March 18th
Visa appointment and Oath taking ceremony
March 19th
Visa Pick up
March 20th
Emma's 15th Birthday!
Travel home!
10:30am-1:40pm Guangzhou to Beijing
5:25pm-5:10pm Beijing to Chicago (wish this flight was a negative 15 minutes)
7:01pm-8:40pm Chicago to Lincoln
2 hours till HOME!!!!!

Travel Dates
The dates are set, the tickets are bought the luggage is out and the packing frenzy has begun! We will be leaving for Beijing dark and early on Thursday, March 5! Gotcha day is March 8th at 8:30am. We will meet Jin Yi at that time and she will stay with us the rest of the trip.
